RedCandle (hereinafter "Developer") values the privacy of users who use "Clip Chain" (hereinafter "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, use, and protect through the App.
This App does not collect, store, process, or transmit to any external server or third party any personal information of the user (such as name, phone number, email address, location data, etc.) without authorization. The App does not require account registration or login with personal credentials.
Most game data generated within the App is stored on the user's local device using the browser's
localStorage API. Additionally, an anonymous device identifier (UUID) is generated on first
launch and stored securely on the device (iOS Keychain / Android Encrypted Storage) to maintain
leaderboard continuity across app reinstalls. This identifier contains no personal information and
cannot be used to identify the user. Local data includes:
The Developer has no access to this data, nor is it synchronized with external cloud services unless the user explicitly chooses to share it.
When the user uses the "Share Score" feature, the user may enter a display name. This name is included in the shared message and stored locally so it does not need to be re-entered. The user can change or clear it at any time. If an online leaderboard is enabled, the display name and score may be submitted to the leaderboard service. No other personal information is collected through this feature.
The mobile app version of Clip Chain displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect the following data to serve and personalize ads:
On iOS, you will be asked for permission to track via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt before any advertising identifier is accessed. In applicable regions (e.g. EEA, UK), a consent screen is shown before any personalized ads are delivered. You may withdraw consent or opt out of personalized ads at any time through your device settings.
Google's data collection is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and AdMob's privacy practices.
In addition to AdMob, the App uses Firebase Firestore for anonymous leaderboard data storage and loads web fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.google.com). Google's own Privacy Policy applies to those services. No third-party SDKs intended for user tracking, analytics, or automated background data collection are used.
Clip Chain does not target children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the App, please contact us immediately so we can take appropriate action.
Under no circumstances will the Developer share, rent, or sell the user's personal information or local app data to third parties without the user's explicit consent, except as described in the Advertising section above.
The contents of this Privacy Policy may be modified in the future in accordance with relevant laws and app update policies. In the event of significant changes, we will notify users through in-app announcements or store update descriptions.
